With over 15 years of experience in TV and film production, Tyler Scott Whitbread is a seasoned Director of Photography (DP), Camera Operator, and Specialty Camera Operator with a passion for capturing compelling narratives. As the owner and operator of Neon Supreme Corp, a Los Angeles-based production company, Tyler has built a reputation for excellence, leadership, and innovation in the industry. His strong work ethic, positivity, and uplifting presence on set make him an invaluable team leader, ensuring each project is executed with precision and creativity.
Tyler specializes in Aerial Cinematography as an FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot, with expertise in Lighting Design, Grip & Electric (G&E), and Studio & On-Location Filming. His technical proficiency extends to Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and AI-powered tools like Topaz AI, Sora, and ChatGPT, allowing him to blend emerging technology with traditional cinematography for dynamic and efficient storytelling.
Beyond his work behind the camera, Tyler is a dedicated industry advocate and union leader. As an active member of Local 600 ICG, he serves on the Contract Action Team (CAT) and is a National Executive Board (NEB) candidate, advocating for on-set safety, fair labor rights, and greater industry inclusivity. His passion for supporting fellow creatives extends to his role as the founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, further demonstrating his commitment to empowering industry professionals.
Tyler is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, equipping himself with the skills necessary for strategic leadership, project management, and contract negotiations—key assets for ensuring Local 600 remains strong and forward-thinking. As a bilingual professional (English & intermediate Spanish), he values cross-cultural communication and international collaboration in an increasingly globalized industry.
An avid sailor, Tyler embraces the principles of teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving, all of which translate seamlessly into his leadership on set. With a deep passion for cinematography, advocacy, and innovation, he remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of storytelling while fostering a safer and more inclusive industry for all.
